Bolton Optical Group is one of Malaysia’s leading multi-concept optical product manufacturer and distributor which was founded in 1992 by Datuk Patrick Sim Eng Peng with an aim of being a global player in optical industry.

With the flagship house brand, “Simvue”, the group designs, produces and distributes high quality optical products, consisting of frames, lenses, contact lenses, contact lens optical Instruments, and optical accessories both locally and internationally.

The company started its humble beginning with its first optical store in Malaysia back in 1997. Since then, the company has never looked back but continues to grow from strength to strength with the expansion of its network of stores which see them converting from a trading company to a
private limited company in 1998. In the same year the company has diversified into the perfume business and then went on to acquire Brilliant Group (with 6 optical stores) and Winston optical (2 stores) in 2003. The setup of 5 directly operated stores in Malaysia mark the closing of a
flamboyant 2003 year for Bolton Optical Group.

Today, Bolton Optical Group owns more than 60 direct-operated stores, about 100 authorized dealers throughout Malaysia and Brunei, and over 1,800 direct dealing outlets. The group’s staff force has grown to more than 400 personnel.
